About Practice Master by Ark & Ember
It began in a real classroom with Spelling Bee Master. A teacher needed students to practice the way a bee actually works — hear the word, ask the pronouncer the questions a strong speller asks, commit to the spelling one letter at a time, and live with that choice.
Practice Master now covers many practice areas — spelling, vocabulary, geography, math, grammar, reading, nature and civics — using the same idea: short, focused practice that fits in twenty minutes or less. Each district gets its own branded workspace, its own staff roster and its own reporting, all fully separated from every other district.
What we believe
- Practice should be honest. Teacher numbers count questions a student actually attempted, never what a session merely planned.
- Students deserve privacy. Students practice without accounts, using a nickname their teacher recognises. We do not collect student emails, and we never record keystrokes.
- Cost should be predictable. One flat district price, no per-student billing, and no paid third-party calls behind the scenes.
