Terms of service
The service
Spelling Bee Master is a spelling bee preparation and competition simulation platform operated by Ark & Ember LLC and licensed to school districts.
Subscription and fees
The license is $599 per district per twelve-month term and covers unlimited teachers, classes, students and practice sessions in that district. Fees are invoiced to the district. Published pricing may change; a district under an active term keeps the price it agreed to for that term, and any change applies to new subscriptions and later renewals.
Renewal, lapse and grace
Terms renew by agreement. If payment is late, district access continues through a limited grace period before the workspace is paused. Paused workspaces retain data so access can be restored on payment.
Acceptable use
Districts are responsible for the words and notes their staff enter. The platform screens submitted text for profanity and inappropriate content, but districts agree not to use the service to distribute inappropriate material to students, and not to attempt to access another district's data.
Student data
Student practice is accountless and nickname-based. The district remains the owner and controller of its district data; Ark & Ember LLC processes it to provide the service.

Grade bands and difficulty ratings are instructional classifications produced by the platform and participating districts. Spelling Bee Master is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Scripps or any national bee organiser.
